expectations, ideas, and partners

I expect this class to be based mostly on our own project planning abilities, since we are doing a single project for the whole year. Yes, it will require all of our programming and web designing abilities that we have learned in the past 3 years, but I believe that the project planning will be a whole new concept that we have to learn, and use, to complete our project on time, and efficiently. Our project idea is to create an open submit website that will be accessible to anybody who wants to upload a game to it. We will be uploading some of our games that we have made in the previous years to get the website going, and will also create one big, new game that will also be uploaded. It will be an adventure game that is similar to the popular Pokémon series. We will be using a lot of sprites of the different pokémon from the games, and try to recreate our own version of this popular title. I am working on my project with Will Pearson. We are both very excited to be working on such a prestigious project, and will help us get back to our roots as game developers. There will be a lot of work that we have to split up between the two of us in order to get this whole project finished by the end of the school year, but I definitely think that we will be able to accomplish this task.

Our project ideas

For our project (I’m working with Will Pearson on it) we are going to build a website that is an open submission game site, with a database, and many games that we ourselves have created over the years. We will probably be spending our time in Mr. Esparza’s class creating the website, and spend our time in Mr. Fornstrom’s class making the games, and possibly the database as well.
